Brust Hall (Boys Dorm)
The halls of Brust are full of noise and life again after the lengthy Christmas break. The first few days were fun to watch as everyone had a chance to share their experiences away from their SPLHS home and family.
In December, we said "Aufwiedersehen" to Hyen Woo as he graduated and left our company. With the New Year, we welcomed Gabe, who returned to the dorm after a three semester absence, and Greg, who is new to the dorm and SPLHS. I trust that God will richly bless their dorm experience. The recent winter storms also brought some extra bodies to the dorm for a few days at a time. We always enjoy extra company.
The big event coming up is the dorm party on Feb. 4. Someone mentioned there might be a football game on TV that night. If so, that should add to the fun. Our big screen TV is now fully in place along with the surrounding sound system. Kudos to the dorm lads for raising the money to purchase it all. Special thanks to Doug's family for giving us such a great deal on the TV and bringing it from Florida.
Life in the dorm continues to be routinely enjoyable. It is a great pleasure to work and live with these boys entrusted to me. They are all fine young men. I count it a great blessing to share their dorm days with them.

| Moeller Hall
Moeller is up and going strong. There are 51 beautiful young women living together in harmony! Or as close to harmony as anyone can get! The world is represented in this building. Norway, Korea, Lithuania, South Africa, Hong Kong, as well as the United States have come together to live, learn, and enjoy the beauty of Saint Paul Lutheran High School. Several girls have traveled the world and lived in places that we can only dream about. Talk about the spice of life. It is here, in Moeller.
The girls are involved in a wide variety of Camus activies. Basketball season has just started and several girls are trying out for that, while other girls will be cheering them on. Cross Country season just finished. The team was made up of girls from Norway and one American young man. The boys soccer team was managed by a young lady who was born in the States and has already lived in Moscow, Brandenburg, Germany and now in Hong Kong.
Service and service projects are part of the dorm this year. Working along side of one of the ladies groups at St. Paul Church, two large laundry baskets full of food were collected for Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kansas City. Redeemer is an inner city church which serves the neighboring Hispanic community. Stephanie Fittler (TX), Elizabeth Tholo (Norway), Kaia Skromme (Norway), Jill Mueller (MN), Elizabeth Inman (MO), and Jessie Bacon (Concordia), along with Jessie's mom, delivered the food and spent time with the people of the church.
Thursday evening campus wide Bible study and devotions are led by senior, Lauren Traczewski (Lexington) and Jill Mueller. A solid group of 20 people come to this. Talk about seeing faith in action! This is, by far, the most inspiring time during the week. Listening to these kids talk about their faith and hearing them pray for each other, is phenomenal.
